Key points
- Mild weather means less thirst and fewer blood-pressure drops
- Winter: Agadir and Marrakech are the warmest
- Spring and autumn: Tunisia and Turkey are ideal
Heat increases thirst and can lower blood pressure, so the right season matters when you travel on dialysis (see dialysis in hot weather). Here is how our destinations compare.
Average daytime high in January °C
Winter (November to February)
Southern Morocco is the warmest: Agadir and Marrakech often have sunny afternoons around 18 to 20 °C. Djerba in Tunisia and Antalya in Turkey are milder than northern Europe but cooler.
Spring and autumn
April to June and September to October are the best months for Tunisia and for the Turkish coast: warm, not too hot, with long days.
Summer
July and August are very hot in Marrakech and inland, and hot on the coasts. If you travel in summer, choose the seaside and book early: it is also high season for families.
| Destination | Best months | Flight from Paris |
|---|---|---|
| Tunisia (Hammamet, Djerba) | Apr–Jun, Sep–Oct | ≈ 2 h 30 |
| Turkey (Istanbul, Antalya) | Apr–Jun, Sep–Oct | ≈ 3 h 30 |
| Morocco (Agadir, Marrakech) | Oct–May | ≈ 3 h |
